Dotcom Secrets is an online strategy playbook created by Russel Brunson. Russell Brunson’s experience in marketing goes back to when he was just 12 years old studying the strategies of marketing through junk mail. Russel took the strategies he learned in marketing and went on to build multiple successful businesses. Starting with successfully selling potato gun DVDs online. He eventually went on to create a well-known software Clickfunnels which has gained recognition and has produced over 206 millionaires worldwide.
With an extensive background like Russell’s, I think it’s safe to say he has a world of experience that just about anyone in the marketing space could benefit from.
When I first heard about this book online It just seemed like any other book. Another person online shoving their offers down my throat or so I thought. So I didn’t pay much attention but continued to see information about the book online.
I soon noticed many of the people I follow and respect all had one thing in common. They read this book. It was at that moment that I decided I needed to read this book and get in on the secrets too. There was something else I was missing in my business and I was determined to find it. So I ordered the book and eagerly waited. I’m very thankful that I did.
It took me several months to read this book. I am not a slow reader by any means but I wanted to break down the concepts of this book and really gain an understanding.
It wasn’t until I finished reading this book that I noticed a change within just 2 short weeks in my business. Particularly in my email list growth. Dotcom Secrets is more than a playbook. It is a shortcut to growing your business online.

THE CONCEPT OF THE ATTRACTIVE CHARACTER
At the beginning of the book, Russell goes in-depth about teaching you what the attractive character is and why it’s so important to bond with your audience.
If you can’t make a bond or connection with your audience they aren’t going to trust you and sales will be difficult. This was an entirely new concept that I never understood before.
Russel keeps things fun and his personality really shines through in the book. He breaks everything down step by step making it very easy to understand his concepts and apply the attractive Character to your business.
HOW TO USE AN EMAIL SEQUENCE EFFECTIVELY
Internet marketing has many aspects of it. One aspect that is usually not explained in great detail is your email sequence and how on earth to build one effectively.
If you’re like me you may have found yourself confused at one point or another in your business on where to go next or how to go about emailing your audience.
Thankfully Russel breaks down building your sequence emails using a technique called the soap opera sequence. A series of emails that uses a system that is known to be effective and convert.
Russell also explains how to identify your customers from subscribers to buyers to working with your dream customers and how to handle them accordingly.
He breaks down a sequence called Seinfeld emails that are a road map to long-term emailing for your subscribers. These concepts are evergreen strategies and have been tested and proven to be strategies that anyone can use and be successful in their emails.
UNDERSTANDING THE VALUE LADDER
Do you have a structure for the products that you’re selling in your business or are you guessing with your product offers? If not Dotcom Secrets will give you a great foundation and system for your current and future products.
In this book, he breaks down what bate offers are and the process of gaining an email subscriber. you will also learn about the value ladder. What front-end, middle and back-end offers are, and how you can incorporate them into your website or sales funnel for higher conversions.
The idea is that your customers continue to ascend up your value ladder. After studying the value ladder you will gain a solid understanding of how to structure product offers and target your sales for your business.
YOU WILL LEARN THE INS AND OUTS OF FUNNELS
In online marketing what you see is not always what you get. There is a whole process of sales going on behind the scenes through email lists and sales funnels. That is where a high amount of revenue is made. After all the money is in the list.
I used to think funnels were top secret. Now I have a totally different understanding of what they are and how I can apply them to my business. Funnels can get rather complex. In Dotcom Secrets, it breaks down the 23 building blocks of any funnel. Including helpful videos on how to create your own online.
MY FINAL OPINION OF DOTCOM SECRETS
I think Dotcom Secrets is an excellent book for new and experienced marketers. It has been compared to be the equivalent of a 4-year marketing degree bundled in one book. Although some of the strategies are rather complex.
The strategies and techniques in this book can be beneficial to anyone, in any niche in online business. This book is great for increasing paid traffic or organic traffic alike by sprinkling in the techniques he teaches.
Russel breaks down each strategy in a fun way and if you get stuck or need help on a subject he also has an online portal where you can download study notes and watch videos of how to use each of these strategies.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It has given me a new-found appreciation and understanding of marketing overall. It has allowed me to take my online business in a new structured direction and my email list continues to grow. It takes the guesswork out of marketing. Everything has a process and this book teaches you the proven strategies in marketing that yield success.
Russel’s strategies have been such a valuable asset to my business that I want to get my hands on just about every book he has and continue to apply them to my business.
The truth is buying Dotcom Secrets is a shortcut to online success. It has been the best thing that I could have done for my online business and it’s a decision I don’t regret.
To anyone searching for advanced marketing techniques. I recommend giving this book a try. It could be the key you need to take your business to the next level.
